Editorial standards
CADRE is an independent publication. These principles govern how we work, and they are public.
Independence
We do not publish paid reviews and we never present advertising as editorial. A verdict on a film is the author's position, not the result of an arrangement with a rights holder.
Originality
All material is written by the editorial team. We do not republish other people's texts, and we cite our sources when we draw on public data or official festival press materials.
Accuracy & corrections
Factual errors are corrected, and the correction is noted at the foot of the piece. We separate opinion from fact: judgements are marked as the author's position.
Conflicts of interest
If an author has a connection to a film's makers, it is disclosed in the text. At press screenings and festivals we respect organisers' rules and embargoes.
Frequency
The journal publishes regularly — at least one piece per week — with expanded coverage during the major festivals.
